This is the 2nd clinic I have been to in Abq. The first being "Duke City Revocery Toolbox". I have only been here about 4-6 months but so far my experience has been amazing. As compared to DCRT, this place for me is much more desirable. This has to do with everything from the staff, (no matter what department) always being very generous. Most of them even know me by first name and don’t just refer to me as a # (patient id). When they recognize my patient i.d. and sign me in without me saying a word and greet me using my name, its a good feeling. Its not that they just recognize me but with each of the staff I see the most, (no matter the department), they are very welcoming and have built a little bond to where it feels like another helping hand rather than a receptionist at a typical methadone clinic. When I am sometimes running late, I will call before 12 o’clock closing and let them know my situation and they have helped with giving me five extra minutes witch has saved me a couple times. My counselor Martha, unlike past counselors, really seems to be interested and analyzes everything I tell her. She remembers everything without having to pull up my profile. She has helped me tremendously and I have great trust in her and all other staff members. Everyone is always in a great mood, the doctor is awesome and dosing nurses build the same first name relationship as the rest of the staff. I love this clinic and would recommend it before my previous clinic, biggest reason being that everyone there is really supportive in helping you through recovery, not treating you like a “Junkie”, as well as how much they work with you because not everyone is the same and everyone makes mistakes, and they seem to understand this. Everyone at AHS to me is a helping hand with my recovery, not only my counselor. I actually enjoy and don’t dread my counseling appointments as they really do help me with my recovery. -5/5

Been going here for over a year now. Generally a pretty good clinic, aside from a couple of small issues here and there, but nothing too major. Definitely hit them up if you're trying to get off of opiates. If it worked for me it can work for you.
