We would like to commend the team at Turning Point Recovery Center - A welcoming facility and very professional staff, dedicated to getting people the help they need. Turning Point is truly making a difference in the fight against addiction in our community!
Finding recovery from drugs and alcohol has been the best thing I’ve ever done in my life. After years of struggling, in and out of different programs, I checked in their detox and was made as comfortable as possible. The food was great, the detox house was nice and comfortable and the care was better. The team of techs was actually responsive to my needs and concerned about my health unlike many of the others in my experience. I now run into many of the folks who work there in the recovery community and when I do, I let them know how much I appreciate their efforts. I’ve been clean for more than 1.5 years and it all started with Turning Point’s Detox house.
Turning Point is amazing in all areas. Not only did they help with my substance abuse issue but also with my family and events from the past. Gave me tools for the future and a lifelong contact for recovery.
As a therapist that works in the field, I refer clients to TPRC often. They absolutely know addiction and have an amazing and well-qualified staff. Their Detox and IOP is top-notch and the owner is a compassionate expert that bends over backwards to educate and advocate in the community for better addiction resources. I love the fact that they work with the client AND the family. Thank you for doing what you do!!
I was initially very fearful of starting a treatment center. After inquiring about which facility to enter I kept hearing the same thing over and over again. Turning Point. It was the overall favorite amongst every physician I spoke with. I called and spoke with the owner, Paul. Immediately after speaking with him I knew that I was going to be okay. He understood what I was feeling and carefully explained the process to me. He never rushed me or pressured me. He was just what the doctor ordered. I knew he could be trusted with my life. The facility and staff where amazing. They knew my name and nurtured my new recovery like they were my family. The program is comprehensive consisting of group and individual counseling, a psychiatrist, guided meditation, Naltrexone and other meds if needed. After completing the program I was confident in my recovery because I knew that Turning Point had my back even after the treatment. The counselors, therapists, and physicians all had my best interest at heart and never let me down. I'm now ready and prepared to begin my journey of recovery with a solid foundation and a recovery network consisting of my group at Turning Point. They are some of the best people I've ever known. You can trust your life with them. I did.
I was turned on to this program by a staff member that worked at an inpatient program I had attended approximately 30 days prior to signing up for Turning Point Recovery Center. In compete honesty. Had I known about Turning Point Recovery Center prior to checking myself into an inpatient recovery center, I'm positive I could have save a whole lot of time, and even more money!! Attending Turning Point Recovery Center was the best decision I have EVER made. The life skills, and self awareness I leaned attending this program has been worth it's weight in gold. Thanks to the staff, I was able to learn about myself, and really get to the root of my alcoholism. I had caused so much wreckage in the relationships I had with my loved ones, they all had one foot out the door ready to be done with me, and the horrendous things I had done while caught up in my addiction. Thanks to this program, I have been able to start to restore and mend all of my past wreckage. This review probably can't hold all the praise I have for this program, and I'm sure the words I'm choosing can't possible do this recovery center justice, but I would recommend this program to ANYONE suffering from an addiction...
I found this place through a friend who had done a thorough search for the best recovery centers in Albuquerque. I had never attempted to ask for help & didn't even know what an IOP was. I did an initial assessment & although it was lots of paperwork I think they were just trying to get a clear picture of where I was at. Then I had a 1on1 with one of their intake people to see if I would be a good fit for the program. After talking for an hour or so, we both thought I would & they gave me the some information to look over before I started the 10 week IOP. I now knew this was "intensive out-patient program." And it was. It’s always kind of awkward, new, scary walking into a room with people you don’t know for your first group & your first step to recovery but the atmosphere & the people that work there are great. I don’t want to get into specifics because they will be different for each person, but what I can tell you is that I just completed my 10 week IOP on 1/21/15 & have never felt better! I learned so many valuable ideas, tools, ways of thinking, ways of being, & life lessons here. The people that I met in group, even our counselor, will be friends for life as well as a great support system on my journey of recovery. If you do decide that an IOP is for you, sign up, be the first to say hi to everyone you see, make friends, jump in, do the work, do more work, do extra work, work the program as hard, scratch that, HARDER then you ever worked your addiction whatever that may be & trust in yourself.
I recently completed the ten week intensive outpatient program at Turning Point, and it has completely changed my life! I have tried to quit drinking many times on my own, and was never successful for more than a couple of months. I was so scared my first day at the center, but right away other clients introduced themselves and made me feel welcome. The therapists are great, very caring and knowledgeable. The program gave me a lot of structure and support during a very difficult time. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is ready to begin a happy, healthy and sober life!!
